LA COMPAÑÍA:
Potencia Chile es una empresa nacional, dedicada a la generación de energía y a brindar servicios de suministro eléctrico a terceros. Actualmente opera dos Centrales Hidráulicas de Paso en la región del Biobío (VIII) a través de Mainco; y dos Centrales Térmicas de Respaldo en la región de Coquimbo (IV), las que en su conjunto, tienen una capacidad instalada de aproximadamente 250 MW. Una de ellas es la Central Térmica Olivos, ubicada en la comuna de Los Vilos, Región de Coquimbo. El complej o consta de 60 motores de 1,6 MW de potencia cada uno, lo que equivale a un total de 100 MW de capacidad instalada, que se inyectan al Sistema Interconectado Central (SIC).
THE COMPANY:
Potencia Chile is a national company dedicated to the generation of energy and to provide electricity supply to third parties. Currently, it operates two Runof- the-River Hydraulic Power Stations in the Bio Bio Region (VIII) through Mainco; and two Backup Thermal Power Stations in the Coquimbo Region (IV), which together have an installed capacity of approximately 250 MW. One of them is the Olivos Thermal Power Station, located in the Los Vilos commune, Coquimbo Region. The complex has 60 engines of 1.60 MW of power each, which is equal to a total of 100 MW of installed capacity, which is injected to the Central Interconnected System (SIC).
