GNL Quintero es propiedad de diversas empresas del sector de la energía y los combustibles en Chile, además del Terminal de Valparaíso. Desde su puesta en marcha en 2009, GNL Quintero ha abastecido de forma segura y confiable la demanda de gas natural de la zona central de Chile, contribuyendo así, a la diversificación y seguridad energética del país. El GNL llega al Terminal a través de barcos metaneros especialmente diseñados para el traslado de este combustible a -160° Celsius, y se han recibido embarcaciones desde naciones tan diversas como Trinidad y Tobago, Argelia, Qatar y Guinea Ecuatorial, entre otros.
THE COMPANY:
GNL Quintero is owned by several companies of the energy and flue sectors in Chile, as well as the Valparaiso Terminal. Since its operations started in 2009, GNL Quintero has supplied the demand of natural gas in central Chile in a safe and reliable manner, thus contributing to the country’s energy diversification and security. The LNG arrives at the Terminal through methane vessels specially designed to transport this fuel at -160 ° Celsius. It has received vessels from nations as diverse as Trinidad and Tobago, Algeria, Qatar and Equatorial Guinea, among others.
