Energía Pacífico S.A. es una compañía chilena perteneciente al Holding de Empresas Coipsa. La fi lial de energía opera la Planta de Cogeneración con Biomasa San Francisco de Mostazal, que aprovecha los residuos forestales, agrícolas y de la industria manufacturera provenientes de las regiones Metropolitana, del Libertador Bernardo OHiggins y del Maule. La central cuenta con una capacidad instalada de 15,6MW y abastece en 100% el consumo de energía y vapor de Papelera Pacífico, de propiedad del holding. Asimismo, inyecta energía al Sistema Interconectado Central (SIC), contribuyendo de esta manera a la diversificación de la matriz energética. Su operación, además, permite la reducción de aproximadamente 50.000 toneladas de CO2 al año.
THE COMPANY:
Energia Pacifico S.A. is a Chilean company owned by Coipsa Holding Companies. The energy subsidiary operates the San Francisco de Mostazal Biomass Cogeneration Plant that uses the forestry, agricultural residues, as well as those of the manufacturing industry coming from the Metropolitan, Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins and Maule Regions. The power station has an installed capacity of 15.6 MW and it provides the 100% energy and steam consumption of Papelera Pacifi co, owned by the holding. Likewise, it injects power to the Central Interconnected System (SIC), contributing to the diversifi cation of the energy matrix. Its operation also allows the reduction of approximately 50,000 tons of CO2 per year.
