DESCRIPTION:The International Energy Agency will launch its new Electricity Market Report on Thursday\, 15 July 2021\, at 7:00 AM Paris time. \nIn December 2020\, the IEA published its first Electricity Market Report\, which focused on developments in the world’s electricity markets amid the Covid-19 pandemic and included an outlook for 2021. At the time\, much of the world was in lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic. \nSix months later\, electricity demand is rebounding\, especially in emerging and developing economies. But the situation remains volatile\, with Covid-19 still causing disruptions. \nThis mid-2021 edition of the Electricity Market Report highlights recent developments and includes forecasts for demand\, capacity\, supply and CO2 emissions in the electricity sector through 2022. The report also analyses electricity market prices and electricity security.
